Label Vee
Illustrating for fabric for the first time came with its own perks and challenges. The deliverables were illustrations for the launch of a new collection of beachwear garments. After exploring several ideas we decided to take inspiration from underwater wildlife using elements like corals, mermaids, seahorses and jellyfish.
The illustrations were made on Procreate. Apart from the scalability and resolution of the illustration, the most challenging part was to determine colours due to the limited number of test prints that could be done. After numerous iterations, a palette was chosen which would effectively translate from screen to cloth.
